Microsoft explorer 3.0 question

hi there.
I just ordered a MS 3.0 legends edition. I was just wondering a few things.

1) I have a old 1.1, can i use that mouse wheel to replace the one in the 3.0 to avoid the mwheel glitch before it starts?

2) I had asked the supplier some questions, heres a quote of info i got from the email
"Here are the specs you requested.

P/N X809742-005 PID 81659-487-0142653-0
4-Digit right of UPC - 1051
Side buttons are black (Exactly matches pic on Amazon site)"
So i know it was manfucatored the 51st week of 2010, but can someone tell me which model it is based on the PID?

thank you~!

x08 is the last version of of the original 3.0 run. x80 was the ID of 3.0's produced after a gap period where they were planning on discontinuing.

Difference is coating and a lower FPS rate 6000 vs 9000. Other than that, same ABS plastic.

The plastic clip is between a soldered part on the mouse.

So possible? Yes. But you would have to desolder and resolder electronics.

Not use the wheel? It's caused by wear.

The version with 6000 fps has lower lift off distance than the version with 9000 fps.
