Hm...this only furthers my apprehension of going APU. Why must AMD tease me so.

I don't think so, I decided to go with proprietary drivers because I plan to play some games.

Well I have an extra APU laying around, so when I get around to putting it in a case, I will see how Ubuntu 12.04 works with it... Hopefully it wont take an all day tweak session, but hey if it does, I can only learn more!
