Erroneous Fan Warning

Thread Starter
A couple of times this week I have had a pop up window appear with the message "Your cpu fan is not working properly..turn system off right now and check", but I have coretemp running and it reports 23. I also have a clear side window on case and can visually see fan working.
This warning looks like a Windows information pop-up, I don't know where it is originating from, I don't think it's from the motherboard. If anyone has experienced this before, I sure would appreciate a solution, it is quite annoying, and the first time it happened, I nearly had a heart attack.

Edit:I believe I have solved this by uninstalling ASUS's AI Suite II. A moderator can close this thread and mark solved.

Well your temp is at 23 (WAter cooled?) If not check your heat sink fan for dust (If you are using it). AFter that check your bios and see if your CPU temp matches the temp you got from the software. SOmetimes you check things in software to alarm you when temp hits a certain point. Make sure your BIOS temp matches the one your are getting from the software. Then touch the heat sink and make sure its on correctly. If its to hot to touch , Then its not seeted correctly. Hope this helps
