Power draw under control! (Most important)
Reliable and stable 5ghz+ on air/water
Cheaper overall system cost than i5 rig
Higher IPC than original BD, doesnt need to be much depending on price after inicial drops

3570K Would still be better unless this retails for under $180.

the numbers make me happy, but i would prefer to see individual benchmark numbers not everything compiled together and averaged out. id like to at least see synthetics separated from games.

From what I have seen with trinity performance, these numbers are a little low! We should have decent benchmarks within the next 10 days.

Also the fx-6100 loses to the fx-8120 in single threaded yet is clocked higher. It's that way for a lot of the processors. The AMD 980 should smoke the 1100 in single threaded benches yet loses despite being clocked 10% higher.
Yeah, this one is fishy.

It does but the problem is that the individual tests weren't posted. Thus allowing him to skew it anyway he likes into his average. For all we know he may average only the tests that were below 10% improvement and averaged intels tests above a certain point.

I installed an A8-3870k in a custom build for one of my shop's customers and I couldn't believe how slow it was. It was a $100 processor so maybe I was expecting to much but it definitely was slower than the i3 processors we primarily use in more budget builds.

Slow in what? It's definitely going to be behind an i3 in single and dual-threaded performance. It's probably only somewhat equivalent in 4 thread performance. The iGPU will completely crush the HD3000, and match and beat the HD4000.
