Check your CPU socket pins for bent.

Or borrow another CPU,just to check.

I agree with some of what you are saying; however F6C bios has been very stable. Is it perfect no (does not recognize standalone drives one raid is enabled in the bios, after post it can see the drive). As for the bios getting corrupted, I have not had that issue at all. I have pushed my rig hard to find higher clocks all without issue. I keep the current official bios release on the second Bios and if I need to boot from an optical drive I just switch to that bios.

THere is also a F6 final BIOS on the TT forums. They hesitate to slap -OC on a motherboard, lol.

Good day... i would just like to ask those who are on RAID0, if they were able to make trim work on Windows 8? i skimmed a few forums and it was recommended to update the RAID Bios to OROM 11.2.. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

I am currently using raid0 with two solid state Intel drives in Windows 8. But I would like to know what exactly you are asking. I do not know what you mean by trim and why we need update raid.

Here's what TRIM does...
Quote:
The TRIM command is designed to enable the operating system to notify the SSD which pages no longer contain valid data due to erases either by the user or operating system itself. During a delete operation, the OS will both mark the sectors as free for new data and send a TRIM command to the SSD to be marked as no longer valid. After that the SSD knows not to relocate data from the affected LBAs during garbage collection. This results in fewer writes to the flash, reducing write amplification and increasing drive life.

Different SSDs will act on the TRIM command somewhat differently so the final performance can also be different between different SSDs. TRIM irreversibly deletes the data it affects

I'm on the F5 bios and it only comes with Intel OROM 11.1. Unless Gigabyte already has a new BIOS with an Intel 11.5 OROM, the only option would be to mod the existing bios and update the existing OROM. I was hoping someone already has and that they would be kind enough to share. smile.gif

ok... got a bit impatient and decided to mod the F5 bios... it worked but it wrecked my RAID5 array. It'll take about 2-3 days to get it back up... oh well.

For those who are interested... here's the guide I used.

and here's my build...
