Nice setup man!
I dont ever plan on getting rid of mine. I love gigabyte motherboards. Just picked up a G1 Sniper 5 but it wont be replacing my UP7.

I just bought this board for a nice 3770K I still had laying around.
I work at a webshop and figured I'd test it first before I build it into my case.
1 strange thing, when I clear the CMOS, enter BIOS and press the power button, on top of the board, the physical one, or the corresponding pins at the bottom of the board, it powers off just fine.
However, if I enter the BIOS, press F10 and enter so it saves and reboots, and I enter the BIOS again, then when I press the power button, or those pins, the BIOS hangs/freezes. It only 'restores' when I clear the CMOS again...
I already reflashed both BIOSes to F5, that version was on it when I got it.
The board seems to work fine other than this strange thing. It shouldn't hang when pressing the power button right?
Are the modded BIOSes out there that I could try? I've never had a board do this, and I've had a lot of boards through the years (from 1990 lol...)

There is a F7 Bios somewhere, have to look for it though.

Hey guys, like to be able to join this club but I can't even figure out how to post in the wanted area to look for one lol. But if I could, what would be a good price? I guess there is no easy way to tell if it's been abused or not? Though it probably has been. And knowing what you guys know now would you still go with this board? Right now I have a GA-Z77X-UD5H with terrible bios issues. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Hi.

Regarding your current board have you tried the F16 modified beta bios?

I found it a lot more stable than previous offerings wink.gif

Hi guys. I need HELP!
last night i installed win10.i had no problems with the installation but after that all things went dowhill. First the OS did not want to start without first going to bios and reseting it all to default. The problem was in raid0 on intel controller. Raid on marvell controler worked without issues. The os was setup on msata ssd.
I noticed that the booting of the OS was going slow and after few things that i tried to change in bios it was still the same. Then i swithed on one option called 'fast boot'. After that it started reseting and i could not see anything else then black screen.

After that i tryed reseting the cmos, switching ports on graphic card nothing worked. Then i switced jumpers to dual bios and after few resets it booted. After that i shut it down, thinking that was it. Today i hit the power button and the same thin - black screen.

I striped everything down. Put in different processor, ram, graphics card, powersupply.

Debug code stops at 32

In mb and sb switch on 1 boards restarts constantly.

In switch on 3 its black screen, debug code on 32.

Is there a way to change the bios without going into the bios? Anyone can help pls?!

Do you mean flashing a different BIOS?

If so yes. There should be a download for the bios flash utility in the gigabyte website. You need to put the flashing utility and BIOS file you want to flash on a "Bootable" usb/thumb drive.

Not that i can think of. Just clear cmos and leave it unplugged for a while. At default it should recognize the usb drive and boot from it. Atleast thats what i think.

no luck still. i think that the backup bios for some reason went nuts.

do you know if this can help? http://www.ebay.com/itm/BIOS-CHIP-GIGABYTE-GA-Z77X-UP7-GA-Z68X-UD7-B3-GA-Q67M-D2H-B3-GA-H61M-D2P-B3-/380671760143?hash=item58a1ce170f
