Is there a way to upgrade Nokia 1661 speaker?

I have this basic ghetto little T-Mobile prepaid phone: Nokia 1661. I really like it, it does all I need it to do EXCEPT have loud enough speaker volume. I have turned the speaker to it's loudest setting, but it is not loud enough to hear on a city street with car's going by. The ring tone speaker volume is great, it's just when I'm talking on the phone, I can barely hear who I'm talking to if there is noise around me. Speakerphone works just as bad... very low volume even at max setting.

I'm wondering if its possible to replace it's speaker to a better one so I can hear better. Anybody know? Are there replacement speakers out there on the internet?

bluetooth headphones?

Otherwise you need to remove the speaker and search for something with similar dimensions. Rather than waste all of that time and money you would be better off getting a new phone in my opinion.

my phone is too cheap to have bluetooth lol.

i realized that if i put the BACK of the phone to my ear, instead of front like youre supposed to, i can hear better lol. it seems the speaker points more sound to the back than to the front lol... how ghetto...

How strange blinksmiley.gif...Anyway just replacing the speaker would not be enough, you would need to look at its on-board amplifier as well which would be almost impossible to change without redesigning the phone.

you could have play around with the code to remove any software limitations for the output of the speaker (if it even has any).
