I'm about ready to get a new monitor. My current one took a beating not long ago and, though it still works fine, I can no longer stand the sight of its dinged, scratched, and in some places broken casing. I've been looking around at several monitors and am considering the BenQ GW2250 because of its high static contrast ratio of allegedly 5000:1 and low 0.248 pixel pitch (I love how tight the pixels look on my current monitor, and this one has even lower pixel pitch). I'm a little concerned about the response time though. It says 16ms/4ms gray-to-gray. At 60 FPS gaming, do you think I might notice any ghosting? Does anyone have any experience with this monitor or a BenQ monitor similar to it? Is there any reason why I would not want to get this monitor and get a different one instead? Any other recommendations? Keep in mind, I'm not on an extraordinarily tight budget. If something is a bit more expensive but has something significantly better than this monitor, I'm interested.
LinusTechTips on YouTube did this overview of the 27" version of this monitor, but at 6:26 he starts talking about how bad color depth is in cheap monitors, to which I am not sure if he is referring to that monitor specifically or just other cheap monitors in general.
Thoughts?
