Yet another recommend me a mouse thread....

Hi all, so a month or 2 ago I won a Razer Deathadder and im just not comfortable with it. After playing with an intellimouse optical 1.1 I discovered why.

I actually pick up the mouse every 5 seconds or so. The problem with the Deathadder is that it doesnt have the ability to grip it on the left side of it, so i cant pick it up.

So down to the nitty gritty.

I Use a steelseries 9HD
I would like a symetrical shaped mouse if possible.
The mouse MUST have ridges for my thumb that go inwards, or allow the mouse to be picked up somehow.
Im a low sens competitive player

I would like to get these 2 mice, but not sure which, below are the different pro's and con's of each.

Steelseries Sensei RAW Rubberised:

Pros:
4 side buttons (2 each side)
Shape

Cons:
Not so keen on going back to laser
Worried about the 2 extra side buttons getting in the way
Price

Logitech G400:

Pros:
Optical
Price

Cons:
Shape MIGHT be a problem, not sure on that.

I have looked at the savu, but im not sure if I want it. The price is ridiculous IMO, and im not sure on its shape either.

If anyone has any other mice to suggest, please let me know, with some pros and cons too, just dont suggest zowie mice please.

Something I forgot to add, I would prefer optical suggestions, unless its shaped like a steelseries

G400 is my default suggestion and then it goes to the Steelseries Kana

you should look in the Looking to buy a mouse/mousepad? Read this first. for the guide lines for posting "a recommend me a mouse topic" so can you answer these questions please so other people can get an idea on what your needs are and therefore recommend a mouse:

1. What's your grip style?

2. What's your sensitivity?

3. What's your maximum budget?

4. Do you want additional buttons?

5. What games do you play?

6. Do you mind about prediction?

7. Other relevant information:
Input anything else you want.
some examples: LOD, ambidextrous shape, weight, wireless, non-braided cord, glossy finish, button activation force, driverless, onboard memory, etc

Hmm, Savu is my default suggestion because I like just about everything about it, save maybe it attracts oil marks on its surface, and the non-calibrated RGB LED.

How is the price ridiculous? The price in my market (Hong Kong) is reasonable and at the same level as DA and Kana. I think Savu is a good deal.

Call me confused hey. I noticed since I changed mine to the intellimouse I had hit a slump, plugged in the old gigabyte and I caused mayhem and was back to my usual self. So im thinking only 2 things would cause this:

1. The intellimouse is too old and feet and buttons aren't as good as they used to be
2. The only shape I can use is the Gigabyte M8000X and Logitech G400 type shape, higher on one side and a ridge on the right side

What do you guys think? :/

The intellimouse actually has a pretty low malfunction speed, maybe that's why you were having trouble?

Anyway, the G400 can't store anything on the mouse but it defaults to 1000 Hz and has CPI buttons so unless you need macros it's not a big deal. I find its ergonomics to be good but not great, better than the DA though, not hard to pick up.

Based on your budget being in Real I doubt a Savu would come at a reasonable price, maybe not the best choice considering its hit or miss ergonomics.
