Hey Guys, I am just wondering if my motherboard the asus p8p67 pro will let me hear the audio from my PS3? via digital optical cable... I currently have no way of hearing my sound from my ps3 on my computer monitor and was just wondering if anyone else has done this and if it can/does work? I have the optical cable with me and would love to hear from someone whos done this or got experience.

so basically i was wondering if I can listen to the audio of my ps3 through my pc and through my pc to my headphones? and my ps3 is connected via hdmi on my 24 inch monitor

The optical connector on your motherboard is output only. You would need to buy a capture card with an optical input (if such a thing exists) to do what you want to do.
