Dont forget when a card fails, its ussaly the board partners fault, not AMD's. Go with Saphire.

Have you used one of those power-requirement things? The thing where you put in how many fans, harddrives, what cpu, what gpu and stuff you need and it'll tell you your estimated "need" for a PSU? I mean, 430w is plenty for most, but i was going to jump in here and say "Now that the 600 series nvidias have been out for awhile, you can get really good deals on 500 series cards and that will handle ALL of her gaming needs".. but if i recall (and correct me if im wrong someone), the 500 series require a minimum psu of 550w?

Anyways.. here's a link to one of the PSU calculators i mentioned.. just put in different graphics cards and see if any fit the bill, then see if they'll meet your needs gaming wise

I still think the GTS 450 at $65 ono shipped would be a little bargain for this....

I've got a 7750 in my dads HTPC and i have to say it's a pretty powerful card for what it is and it does not even require an additional power plug. Also, i got a free 60$ game (at the time) Dirt Showdown so it basically cost me half the price. Don't be worry about the power of the card because anything over a 6670 will do the job nicely.

This one is the one i have and i'm satisfied with it and it only costs 85$ with a 20$ mail in rebate=65$.

just to say... i had the asus 450 top

it is a beast of the card for the money you pay.

in crysis2 i got 55fps average with ultra on 90% and then high on the rest.

go with teh 450's m8 it is really not a bad gpu.

now when i was waiting for my 670s i had a 550TI.... that was also pretty good value for money and i got bery good frames in every game i played

EDIT:
crysis 2 is a litte more intensive on the gpu than sims

Get a 2nd hand 5770, don't go overboard on such an old rig for simple games.
Even a 4770 would do just fine!

I finally picked up an HD 6670 for 60 $ - not counting the 20 $ rebate. It doesnt use up much juice , runs quietly. Plays Sims 3 very well.
It's like a new computer , and my 16 yr old daughter is thrilled now.

Thanks everyone for your input ...this card is amazing for the price.

*Oops, enjoy your new card!*
