Whats your favorite cooler?

Thread Starter
So my question for you guys is what is ur favorite cooler?
Water Cooling
Liquid Cooling
Fan Cooling

What types of brands do you guys like the most out of them. I Have fan cooling because i dont wanna deal with the whole water business and if I get a leak and it wrecks my system im F***ked so thats what i dont go WC or LC. For Fan cooling what do you guys think is better the A50 Corsair or Hyper 212 +/Evo. I Honestly think the A50 is better in a good way. For one its a little cheaper and i believe its a little smaller then the Coolermaster. Also the best thing about the corsair is the RPM's. The Coolermaster runs 900-2000RPM but the Corsair runs either a constant 1600RPM or 2000RPM. The way to change the RPM's is by putting in the resistor plugin you get with the cooler and it is so quiet you cant even notice it is installed. The temps on it is just unreal. I ran BF3 stock CPU clock (3.3ghz 2500k) on Ultra settings and i never went past 60degrees and i used to hit 70degrees on HIGH settings with the stock CPU fan. So What is ur favorite?

I'm with Gunderman. After 2 years with my Scythe Mugen2 (which was a fantastic air cooler) I'm really enjoying being able to actually see my motherboard instead of a giant hunk of aluminum. It's quiet, stays cool and looks clean. The "zero maintainance" part is nice as well.

I'm using a Scythe Mugen 2 Rev.B atm, in push/pull, the pull is running a constant 1050rpm,
both are Scythe Slip Stream SY1225SL12LM-P, 120mm
0 – 26,50 dBA / 0 - 74,25 CFM , maximaal 1.300rpm

think its the best all round cooler ever, was unbeatable for years for bang/buck,
can still compete with the top, bought mine for 35 euro.

what i would like, Phanteks TC14PE
its a new cooler, but really good, can go up against the Noctua NH-D14,
thats something not many aircoolers can, but the TC14PE costs 84 euro..
i like to see the usage off 8mm heat pipes, think its better then 6mm smile.gif

my dream is EK Water Blocks EK-KIT H3O 360 HFX biggrin.gif
but i have to make choices ..lol

so for the money what i would pay for the EK-KIT,
i 'm gonna buy a,
Gigabyte GV-R787OC-2GD 1,1GHz with 2GB GDDR5...lol

i dont go over 50C with everything set highest in BF3, with 4.6ghz oc thumb.gif

Favorite cooler is Hyper 212+. So much performance for so little money, it is the perfect (and best, imo) step up from stock cooling to entry level after market cooling. No, it isn't as good as a few other coolers, but those "other" coolers are nowhere near the Hyper 212+ price point.

yea, i see alot of those,
my entry lvl cooler i used before was the Zalman CNPS10X Performa,
which cost about the same as the Hyper 212+
think those are the best in their prize class

but im not really into cooling atm ..lol,
so dont know that many others for that kind of money..
i pay 25euro for the hyper where i live, 27 for the performa

I had the 212+ for a long time. Best price to performance i think. I am now running the Corsair H100 with 4 Cougar fans in p/p. Really great temps now. Never go over 44 or 45 when playing Dirt 3.
