How is it not news? Apple is the most valuable publicly traded company and the iPhone 5 was just released and these reports may indicate trouble for Apple and their manufacturing. This is a tech forum, is it not?

It appears for a small amount of people (at the most, so far, at least ONE person in the world), we have no footage or pictures of this, and it only happens sometimes, and only when you turn it on, and only for a fraction of a second.

If this qualifies as news, then there are plenty of news articles that could be written about phones I've previously had. I had the numpad on my Motorola ROKR go out on me, is that news?

My iPhone 4S occasionally (maybe 1 in 100 calls) won't let me swipe to answer when somebody is calling. That's much more serious than a fraction of a second of a slight green glow, and it's still not news worthy.

I think people are making a big deal about because it can be something that starts to get worse and worse.

Na it's the first thing I thought! I thought this was going to be about some apps people were complaining about or something tongue.gif

On-topic: I'm suprised that CNET has an article bashing an Apple product, they tend to act like they are dipped in gold and given a kiss from Steve before leaving the factory.

Lets summarize all the fantastic features the iPhone 5 have:

Scuffgate - Scratches all around the phone straight from the factory, brand new.

Easy to scratch - The backside of the phone is extremely easy to scratch

Purple Haze - Weird purple light on the pictures when you try to take a photo where there is a lot of sunlight

White light leakage - All around the screen, light are leaking

iOS6 maps - ROTFL maps. Really screwed up on this one Apple. Solution? Use Google maps, the competitor of Apple. They know how to make things

Build quality - People feel its too thin and too light. "Feels like a toy"

Siri - Confuses cities with the same name but from different states

Horrible battery life - Yep thats right. Even with the boasted 25 hours increased battery life over the 4S, people still have to charge their phones several times a day. And wonderful Apple won`t even let you replace the battery with a bigger one or a new one if your battery somehow doesn`t work. All other brands let you do this, with ease.

WiFi problems - The device doesn`t deal with secured networks like the WPA too well. Solution? Move to a less secured encryption...

Some of these problems are probably fixable with software update, but other are just a huge epic fail. Well done Apple. thumb.gif

Apple and Samsung must be sharing technology unwillingly again, because my GS3 has these same features! Uncanny!
