New Asus Sabertooth 990FX BIOS - 1503 - Released 2012-October-10

For those that are keeping up with the latest BIOS revisions for the Asus Sabertooth 990FX, here is the latest release as of the 10th of October. It seems the reason for a new release is the same as for the last two releases.

 

 

 

ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX BIOS 1503

RELEASED ON:  2012-OCTOBER-19


1. Improve system stability.
2. Enhance compatibility with some USB devices.

The easiest way to install the updated BIOS is to download it to your hard drive (any drive/partition), re-boot your PC and run the BIOS update tool which allows you to choose the location (by drive/partition) that contains the .rom file. From there just tell it to update and it will do it's thing and re-boot your machine. You will of course have modify the default options to reflect your hardware/conditions as usual.

What the hell does "improve system stability" mean anyways. I've been seeing it in every bios update from asus and I don't know what it specifically does.

Generally it's just small bug fixes and tweaks to various parts of the BIOS. Nothing really interesting enough for them to list.
