hi guys. new to this site, i need to buy myself a early xmas pres and ofcourse it would need to be a new gfx card, so i think you guys are could help me choose,
i got a buget of about 200 usd, it needs to be agp untill i upgrade my mobo, what are your opinions on the best agp for gaming with my budget

7800 GS. I think they are under 200.

If you want better get a x1950 AGP from ATi. They are ~300 usd.

With the X1950Pro definitely. That thing is a beast on PCI-E. Great price-performace ratio.

I can play BF2 on medium with average of abour 45 fps. Thats with my poor old P4.

Yes you should be able to play quality games.


I have my 7800 running at about 460/1500 (no voltmod) right now so its pretty overclockable.

He wants an AGP card and the x1950 did come out for AGP but its way overpriced.
