Have you tried the AMD Leo technology demo? I found it to be an extremely intensive test of a GPU, more so than just about any game or benchmark for the 7900 series graphics card.

Use HWInfo64 to find the VRM temperatures - but i think try and keep GPU/VRM around 75C or lower. Whats the default voltage and what did you raise it to?

Thread Starter
My default voltage is 1.12v right now i have it at 1.2v 1125/1575 is what im at right now on the overclock but thats as high as msi after burner wil let me take it. My max temps when i just let heaven loop over and over is 60c. I would use trixx to maybe get a little higher but i like the fact afterburner lets it apply the OC on startup of pc. Also im still very curious on the switch on the sapphire dualx oc edition. I have tryed googling and cant find much on it. Does it help to OC better or what is the switch s benfits?

That is most likely the Dual Bios switch....google that and see what you can fine..

Thats just if you wanna flash the BIOS for whatever reason, the original locked bios wil keep you safe

1575mV seems pretty high though - i would still monitor VRM temps as well

trixx is also kind of flaky, i think if you get a slightly older version of Afterburner, you can type the -xcl command and itll let you bypass the limits

theres a thread somewhere here about that

Trixx sets my clocks on startup perfectly every time. Make sure you've got it set up right in the options. Afterburner has always been far flakier for me than Trixx. 1575mhz is fine, hell 1800 is fine if your card can do it. The switch on the card is for the second BIOS. Both BIOSes can be overclocked, but depending on your chip quality the second BIOS will allow you to clock just a bit higher. It's real usefulness comes in when you can't get your card to boot because of a bad overclock or whatever reason. Having the second BIOS to switch over to allows you to get the card straightened out without switching cables around.

Keep in mind these are two completely separate BIOSes. Settings in one have no effect on the other, and the differences between the two are pretty minor, but can be noticeable in some situations.
