Running GSKill 1866 RAM at 1866 Timing - Page 2

Have you clocked your CPU higher and CPU nb with the rated volts on the memory??

Also
Did you update your bios what do ever or did you leave it from out of box..

You should not have to worry about bios because your posting fine and everything...

Just amp volts on the memory loosen the timings and you should be able to hit 1866

Just curious as the others which specific model is this it has a model number on the memory so we can see which chips they are smile.gif

I don't have a link handy, but its GSkill Ripjaws X Series 1866, and I know the settings are being saved...

I've undervolted my cpu slightly, and I am running the BIOS out of the box. I'll try amping the volts slightly, and I'll put timings on auto...

I'm getting the readings from my BIOS

Well try overclock ing instead of under volting
Kinda the point to get those sticks up that high... Though I bet youll see better performance at 1600 with tighter timings than rates at 1866
Specially when overclockin
Raise that CPU north bridge

Also take a screen cap of wht you see in bios
And or just install windows on another partition for us to see everything through CPU-z

I don't have a free windows install disc on me right now, and the only think I undervolted was my CPU (AMD A8-3850) as it runs stable right now, and at 60C without it, but I think that I will just use tighter timings.

Do you have the latest BIOS for the motherboard?

Where are you seeing DDR3-1600? Can you post a picture?

If you set it to DDR3-1866 in BIOS, it should stay at DDR3-1866 unless it restarts and says there is a problem with settings.

Also, in addition to the basic DRAM settings (frequency, timings, and voltage), you may also have to increase CPU-NB Voltage +0.1V.

Other than that, the system should work just fine at the rated specifications of the memory.

Cheers
