SATA HD crashed

Thread Starter
As some of you may have seen, I posted yesterday about my SATA HD having trouble. I thought I'd fixed it, but now it seems to have crashed completely. Every time I'd boot up, it would run through the chkdsk thing for my second HD. (I'm running one 40GB IDE HD (primary) and one 80GB SATA (secondary)). Now, the second HD won't even show up in the defrag window, althoough it shows up in the "devices" icon in the task bar. When I click on it in explorer, it says "drive is corrputed and unreadable, and cannot be accessed."

Is there anything I can do, or is it new-HD time?

(Also, I feel really stupid, becasue I plugged in both the SATA power and molex power - could this have damaged it?)

EDIT: I forgot to mention, I labelled it as "Hard Drive2" but now it lost the label, and only has the letter designation.

If nothing else, is there anything I can do to recover the lost data?
