Thats great news for me, didn't want to upgrade again.

I went from 5870s to 6970s to 7970s, and now, I will skip this Generation (please I need to believe what I just said)

Slower progress is in no way great news. Your older cards won't suddenly stop being good when new and better products release.
If you want to have the best, then you must spend the most.

If the rumours are true that's good to hear as I was intending to skip next gen. The only thing that annoys me about my current GPU is difficulty finding a waterblock for it. =P

sea island's gonna be powerful. and nv is worried that kepler stocks will go waste.

The 670 is on average tied with the 7970 and the 680 is on average tied with the 7970 GHz Edition at 1920x1080 resolution.
I'm not denying the 7970 edges out the 680 at higher resolutions like 2560x1600 or 5760x1080, but that doesn't change the fact that the majority of people are sitting with 1920x1080 monitors.
