It's not unusual for a manufacturer to hold on to something and instead release something more competitor oriented first. People buy twice -> more profit. (iPhone 4S is a good example

You do realize you're responding to a month old post?
Try manufacturing GK110 a year ago, e.g. GK100. Look at how far that went. Between low initial yields and TSMC's wafer shortage, it simply wasn't manufacturable. Now it is.
