OCCT with SpeedFan

Thread Starter
Not 100% sure on how to configure the OCCT with SpeedFan. Im asked for the cpu temp and the case temp. This is what SpeedFan is saying.

Temp1: 32C
Temp2: 46C
Temp3: -128C (This cant be right can it?)
HD0: 26C
Core: 34C

Also found (and now lost) a post saying that SpeedFan takes the temp readings off the motherboard not the cpu sensor or something along them lines. Can anyone confirm this?

Well It depends on your hardware used to how well Speedfan will perform. For some people Speedfan is useless mate.

I would try Motheboard monitor 5 if i was you. However you will Find that Temp called CORE is usually your CPU temp mate.

TEMP 3 is simply misreading theres no way you have -128c lmao.

thats an abit mobo right. if so, abit eq that installs with uguru will tell you what your temps are.

hope that helps

"Core" is CPU Core temperature.

The highest temp. (Depending on cooling) is often your CPU temperature.

-127c is a misreading, mostly because you didn't or can't plug in a cable at your PSU.

Im sorry for being such a bloody pain but im concerened with something.
I ran ORTHOS for a quick 12 minutes and checked temps on Asus Pobe.

Start End

MB-45C MB-46C
CPU-31C CPU-47C

I also was running speedfan alongside probe just to check what you said earlier in the post that "Core" was reading the temp of my CPU. During the 12 minutes I was running ORTHOS, SpeedFans Temp1 was constant with the reading from Probes CPU reading. Temp 2 was constant with the MB reading from Probe (So definatly the MB) Now the Core reading is what has got me worried because this hit 56C. When I finished the quick test the core temp went straight down to 42C and gradually reduced to 32C and stabalised. This 32C was also the CPU reading stable. Any thoughts? should I be worried? SpeedFan must be reading something right?
