Drain spout..

Thread Starter
So I'm new to water cooling and I installed my loop for my cpu but now I have a buddy that is graciously giving me his 670 water block because he upgraded to a 690.

I'm trying to figure out how to install and utilize a drain spout. What do I need to buy?

I have the XSPC 360 kit (http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_202_972&products_id=33590)

What parts do I need? I know that the drain port will be after my graphics card then back up to my pump but what pieces do I need to achieve this?

What you could do is buy a fitting the splits into a Y, and one end would go back up to the pump, and the other would have a bit of tubing and a ball valve or QDC. Hope this helps

I use a tee at the lowest point of my loop which happens to be right after the pump. Off of the tee I run about a foot of hose or so and cap it off with an enzotech fillport. For a while I was using a tee and cap from home depot.

Here is my drain line sitting on the floor next to my psu.

you can either use a T-fitting or this . . .

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/9802/ex-tub-518/Primochill_12_to_Dual_38_ID_UV_Reactive_Leakproof_Y_Reducer_-_Natural.html?id=tAE5rVkR

and this at the one end . . .

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/14601/ex-tub-1040/Enzotech_G14_Barb_Stop_Fitting_w_Cap_-_12_ID_-_Matte_Black_BNPH-ID12-G14.html?tl=g30c101s460

connected at the lowest point as shown by Baba.

BTW, these are just examples. you get one that would fit your tubing, which ever kit you end up with. the fittings come with different colors as well.
