I picked one up today to replace my HX850 which I thought was the cause of my crashing and booting issues. My PC would go black screen and the GPU' fan would go to 100% and I had to hold the power button sometimes for 15sec to get it shut off then it would either not power on after that or power on but not boot in normal mode only safemode. The MEMOK light would stay on sometimes so i hit the button and then it did its thing and I decided to turn off Asus antisurge protection and this may of been the issue. Since last night I have turned it off and on many times and restarted many times with no issues. I may take the HX1050 back sicne I did not put it in yet but should I hold onto it or go get teh new AX1200i since it is also possible my mobo may be faulting with one or two of the RAM slots. I put the RAm in the black slots instead of the tan slots the manual says to and no issue with MEMOK light staying on. I will likely get the X79 ROG IV board, 39039k and then either run 2 GTX 680 4gb classifieds or 3 7970s. I think the the 1050 PSU is enough for either setup, but I knwo the 1200i is a far superior PSU. ANy thoughts?

Don't get an even bigger PSU. Even that 1000W is kinda overkill.
Never just assume what's causing an issue, find the cause by troubleshooting so you can make an informed purchase and actually fix the problem.

I have done a lot of troubleshooting already. Drivers, Testing different GPU's RAM updated mobo bios, chipset drivers. Also there is no such thing as overkill.lol So far so good though and I have had the PC running all day playing BF3 off and on which would make it crash and no issues so far after turning off anitsurge protection and changing RAM to a different slot. I may take the PSU back tomorrow though and just wait until I get all the new parts and am going to rebuild.
