Well, I find my BIOS temp to match that of my idle temp.

Also, to find your MAX temperature, you need to run 2 instances of Prime95 (1 per core - there are many guides walking through how to do this).

AMD says specifically the temp reading in the bios to be 60-65°. Though, I also don't presume the BIOs to be 100% correct but I am sure they are going to be with in a few degrees. I have my DFI temp setting to show that my CPU is 5° hotter then it actually reads at just be safe.

I would also base it alot off of mother board manufacturer and quality.

According to the R&D dept. of a MB manufacturer I use to do tech support for, the BIOS is configed to 80% of the full load. Unless of course the BIOS version SUCKS and is inaccurate!

From my readings on temp and what you say duke it roughly matches. So I think maybe you are right.

Well I have tried using ORTHOS which I was told stresses both CPUs and the RAM. I have a G15 keyboard with a lcd screen that shows cpu usage Ram usage. Although I am sure this lcd display isent 100% correct it did have both bars for the cpu and ram at max. that along with my highest temps yet I hope confirm it was a tough test on both cpus and ram.
