Crossover 30Q5 Pro Monitor Club~ - Page 21

I recently picked one of these up from "dreamseller". Amazingly fast shipping to UT.

I have a technical question. Does anyone have this working in linux?

I need a working xorg.conf file. Can't seem to get it to display anything but the boot up screen.

Got them today. Pics taken with my phone.

My previous setup, Optoma 300x Projector @ 70" Screen

These are Crossover 30Q5 Black, bought from euroinside on ebay

Really loving the multitasking aspect of having multiple screens. No on-screen problems. When pivoting they are slightly off-angle which is a bit annoying.

I bought three 10m DVI-D DL cables as I keep my pc outside of my room due to the noise it makes but they were not functional for some reason, the included ones work fine.

Of the games I tested, Far Cry 3, Crysis and Crysis 2 had heavy stutter at native res. Might changing the cards to something else help?

Hi all this is my first post here.

I found this offer from lightnspace for the 30q5 at 560$ . They don't seem as big as accessorieswhole and all the others, but it still is 100$ cheaper for a Pixel Perfect model. Do you guys think I should just go for it? Or wait until a bigger seller has it for that price?

Or would you rather go for the sparta 300 (which has a glossy display but my computer is in a dark room anyway) for about the same price?

Hey:) My 30q5Pro-Black from AW was $533USD direct via paypal or it would have been $17 more on Ebay. I had read thru all his ebay feedback for what he did with customers with bad outcomes and while there were very few he always came thru. He also communicated well.
So I'd definitely not go for perfect pixel for alot more from a smaller seller because u dont know what happens if there are issues, PP or not.
I dont have one bad pixel on mine and a couple/few weeks in havent had one issue, not even overheat etc. Just worked out of box... Good luck! BB

Can anyone verify if it uses an LED backlight or a CCFL?

What is the power consumption during normal operation?

Cheers.

I will order 1 of these with matte screen in 2 weeks from excellentcastle. Anyone have any comments/warnings about these or seller?

The 1 I'm looking at only has DVI input, so I hope that keeps input lag to a minimum. I sure hope it games well.

And does it say on the box what size they are? I hope not.

AFAIK Korean 30" monitors use only the LG-Q5 H-IPS panel. Which is indeed CCFL as rancor said. Only 2 panels are LED at 30"
