i cant take you seriously because you only have 4 posts and they are only opinions and do not explain why they are bad
and even if you do explain it, unless you can explain a fundamental reason why they are bad and not simply because you got the 1 in 10000 units that was faulty, then its not a reliable feedback unfortunately

has anyone else had the same experience to make it consistent? becuase if cross overs are bad then the only other option is the Yamakasi 300, but that one only seems to come in tempered glass

Hello and thank you all for the valuable information about the monitor. I'm thinking of buying it myself, actually i'm between the 30Q5 PRO and the 27Q LED-P.

From the information i have gathered the 30" is matte and the 27" gloss, does this affect the performace in any way? (some say gloss gives better colors and therefore quality). Has anyone seen both panels in action? Are there any major differences?

Haha I feel very qualified to answer this as my roommate has the 27q and I have the 30q5. I must confess, image quality is a little better on the 27q, as the matte coating on the 30q5 is a little bit like Dell AG coating in that it sparkles a little bit on solid color backgrounds. That being said, if you want these monitors for professional color reproduction, you need a color meter (or whatever it's called) to properly calibrate it. If that is what you want, then it may be better just to go for one of the 27" Dell's or HP's which come pre-calibrated out of the box.

Go and look at any non-glossy dell monitor. The matte coating on that is exactly like the one on the 30q5. If you look at a white document, you may notice the coating sparkling a little bit. If that doesn't bother you, and then go for it. IMO it's the best monitor out there (for the money) if it doesn't break on me (which I don't think it will except for the guy who signed up just to complain about these breaking).

I haven't had the chance of seeing a matte coating panel or any panel for that matter >24", my previous monitor was a benq 24" TN. I understand that the 30q5 is a new model and no review/video exists showing the monitor. Are you still going to upload photos of the monitor? Once again, thanks for all the information.

I don't have a particularly good camera, but I can try. I have had literally zero minutes of free time for the past two weeks but at some point when I get a chance I will try to shoot some.

So it's worth the extra ~$130 from the 27q price?

Go find a 30" Dell or HP in a store and compare it to a 27". The difference is enormous. You decide for yourself if it's worth the money though.

I guess it all comes down to personal preference and budget.
