EVGA SR 2 Owners club. - Page 41

Having the product at this late juncture may or may not prove retarded.
No it's not for sale. 'Fact neither is my backup board, A2 factory sealed anti-static.
Being new here and "that's all I have to say about that" Gump

IMO
SR2 niche be ECC-workstation accumulator for newer generation components
X99 be enthusiast preferred for OC and latest techie price points
while high end be duel-Xeon NVidia q6000 ECC Tesla.
it's NVidia q6000 vs. AMD s10000 at high end (any other ECC GPU?)
and for SR2 RAM can I find ECC faster than 1600?
SR2 s10000 is the cost effective solution at the moment

I guess this club is dead these days, but I just got an sr2 and been running it stock with x5650's to check stability before overclocking. I have 2 more ram modules on the way to run 3 per cpu. Once I have a add2psu adapter in hand i will then overclock gpus. Ill have 290x quadfire on waterblocks to go stock for now.

going to look for a good OC guide on this sr2.

air cooled for stock testing, but going water if cpus need it. Looking for 4ghz or bettter.

Yeah, nothing new on this front in a while tongue.gif

The place I got the most info from was this:
SR-2 Optimization Thread

EDIT:
If you want to get a water block, there is a guy selling some Bitspower SR-2 blocks on eb@y. Don't if its considered the best or not, but it probably is better than the cheap stuff I am using.

Thank you for that, i did a rough in for 4ghz obviously will need testing and tweaking but 200bclk was extremely easy to obtain. Huge difference already just on desktop usage for performance. and a quick cinnebench shows its scaling nicely.

OH also dumb question, anyone have a good cpu temp monitoring suggestion, Realtemp seems to only be reading 3 temps and looks off

EVGA E-LEET utility is the one that seems to give me the straight answers. All the other programs I use give me non-believable information.

Thank you, i forgot about this utility since i went to AMD gpu's ive been using MSI AB and forgot about EVGA's utilities....

I updated to the new A58 Bios and stability seems way better now and i think i am 4.0 - 4.4/turbo now. hitting 2k cinebench and 22+k cpu physics in 3dmark.

I am however at the peak of my Lepa g1600 now. it's kind of either OC cpu's, or GPU's heh. Ordering a addpsu adapter i think now gonna have to get one.

Hey guys, are any of you running Windows 8 or, preferably, Windows 10? And if so, how well does it work?
