Best sub £200 24 or 23 inch monitor :)

Hi all,
We are well into 2012 year and the prices of the relatively new technologies like IPS have gone significantly down forcing other technologies like TN and VA to go down in price even more. Thanks to that I decided to get myself a new 23" or 24" monitor.

Before I started this thread I have gone through dozens of reviews and different forum threads, but that made me even more confused than I was before frown.gif
What I am looking for is a sub £200 (ideally sub £150) monitor mainly for gaming, a bit of designing in Photoshop and websurfing. What is also important for me is the look of the monitor itself, I really like Acer G series for their different looking stand! I am not a heavy FPS gamer so I do not really need a 120Hz monitor, but there is a LG Flatron W2363D-PF which is within my spending limits, but that would mean I had to go with TN technology an worse picture quality...
Help me decide, please!

I'm not sure the price over in the UK, but I'd recommend the ASUS PA248Q (I have 3x of these biggrin.gif)or the Dell Ultra Sharp 240something equivalent. I believe They should be around 200 pounds if conversion and prices are the same. thumb.gif

Edit: I think the New 24' Ultrasharp is 2412M? Correct me if I'm wrong

Belive it or not Asus in the UK is priced well over £300 and Dell for £200+ . Yup UK where everything is overpriced and the weather is shait wink.gif

What would you say guys about the Hanns G HS233H3B which you can get in the UK for £130 delivered. I have found 1 review of this monitor at:

and it seems to be very positive!
I know it is a budget 24" monitor and I do not expect bells and whistles but it is 120Hz which will be good idea if I want to go Crossfire with my Radeon HD 7850 looks rather good and it is dead cheap!

I have made up my mind guys,
I got myself Hanns-G HS233. I have had it for about 2 weeks now and I cannot really fault it.

Pros:
1. It is dead cheap £130 delivered in the UK from CPC.
2. It is 120Hz.
3. Looks rather good with a fancy stand.
4. It has got 1xDVI, 1xVGA and 1xHDMI.

Cons:
1. It is too glossy and you mark with your fingers too easily.
2. The only adjustment you can make to the position of the screen is tilt...
3. The stand does not seem to be steady enough.
