Problem with XP-Lubuntu dual boot, GRUB error - Page 3

Yeah, it's one of the error logs earlier that was talking about having trouble with a partition being outside of the range of the physical drive (both fdisk -l & parted -l presented errors in the pastebin dump in the OP)

Just tried to delete the partition via EaseUs partition manager, then reboot and install, still doesn't work... Guess I'll have to reinstall everything from scratch now to get it working, but there're so many things to download again after restart from scratch blinksmiley.gif Maybe I'll just delete Windows after Valve release TF2 for Linux tongue.gif

Thanks for your time

I still think easybcd would solve your problem and you should try to get it working on your XP, because googling you can easily find people using it on XP.

Installed Linux just now, hoping that the problem will go away, Nope. Alright I'm going to fire up EasyBCD later.

Ok, we're gonna need the precise steps you've taken on this latest attempt, something weird is going on and we need to start ruling stuff out. So it started with deleting the partition table on the drive, wiping it completely? Or something else?

2 Partition on HDD - both same size (NTFS)

Boot into Lubuntu, delete 2nd NTFS partition with Lubuntu installer partition tool, create 1 / (primary 25GB), 1 /home (logical 201GB), 1 swap (4GB)

Vista Partition (232GB Primary NTFS) ||| Lubuntu Partition (/ Primary 25GB)(/home 201GB)(Swap 4GB), no free space left, all ext4 filesystem

then I install it as usual, and the same problem arise headscratch.gif BTW the HDD is WD Caviar Green 500GB

Clutching at straws a bit here, but what kind of HDD is this? SATA, IDE, SCSI, other?
When you boot into Windows, can you give us a screenshot of Computer Management's storage page?
