Anyone as excited as I am about Chris Roberts 'Star Citizen'?

That's a resounding HELL YES! I saw the 2min trailer and was in. Just need to get some extra cash as I just bought a Full Member pack for Project CARS the other day. But I definitely want this game. Like NOW!

I'll probably do the $125 level as well. but I can't decide which package. Leaning toward the Freelancer pack.

Question, because I know there is far too much Q&A content to dig through.

4 axis or 6 axis ship control?

6DoF I believe. This is the one video to watch right now (First couple minutes is the trailer, rest is him talking about/showing off features)

I saw a controller. That does not bode well for any space sim. There has not been a controller in history that has enough buttons to fully control any good space sim.

Edit: He did say he would like to put a player-shop in for ships though, and I really like this idea. REALLY, like this idea.

Did you not also see the Full joystick with throttle? Did you not also see that most of what he was controlling with the controller was the character movement outside the ship? Controller SUPPORT is not the same as controller RELIANCE. This is PC exclusive, you really think that supporting a controller will hinder the game? I can play DCS:A10C (arguably one of the most intensive and realistic simulators on the market) with a controller. All it does it limit MY ability, not the game's abilities.

YES! Strike Commander was my first PC game (after doom) and I played it for hours and hours, over and over. This guy has the potential to make this game a juggernaut, can't wait!
