Problem with headphones sound

Thread Starter
Hey everyone,

Recently I have had to start using my headphones in my computer before that they hadn't been used in my system for about a year so I don't know how long its been going on for, anyway
when the headphones are plugged in it sounds like its trying to play 5.1 through them I have checked all the audio setting I can find but nothing is giving me that kind of an option
I have also tried unplugging my 5.1 speakers and no change as well as plugging in through front panel port and through headphone jack in 5.1 system

sound card used is-
SupremeFX X-Fi built-in 8-Channel High Definition

Headphones are-
Beats by dre

computer speakers -
Logitech 5.1

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Which beats model are they?

Also I would really advise against getting Beats in the future.
