New GTX560Ti Problem..

Hi guys, I got my GTX560Ti that I've ordered.. Anyway I put it inside the computer, all safe and sound, installed the drivers let the system reboot and what happens.. A black screen, I cannot see the cursor or anything I only hear the system's sounds after awhile the screen goes into sleep mode. I was so frightened that I have a problem with my old OS so I did a fresh reinstall of Windows 7.. SAME THING.
This GTX560Ti's Subvendor is Gigabyte.

if your motherboard has built in vga or dvi or even hdmi test the whole system with that first and then reinstall the correct drivers an utilities from the gigabyte website... let me know if the problem persists...thumb.gif

Well my motherboard does not have any built in GPU's I've tried in both X16 and X4 slots, All 2 DVI ports, switching the 6 Pin connectors.. Nothing.
The system let's me boot fine but after 10-20 seconds, the screen becomes black.

AMD Phenom II 955 X4 @ 3.2Ghz
4GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM dual channel. Kingston. Blu

500W Seasonic Bronze 80+ Certified PSU
23" Samsung SyncMaster S23B300 screen Full HD

I doubt that I can be lack of Wattage.. Because the card powers up flawlessly..

I experienced the same problem as you with my GTX560 Ti too. For me it was a DoA chip. Are you on 306.97 drivers? Try reverting back to 296.10, cause I had the black screen with the 306.97 drivers and when I reverted back to 296.10 I had a BSOD with artifacts, which proved that the card is DoA.

I found something interesting! Looks like it lets me boot to the desktop. Black screen, afew seconds later it says display recovered! But hell it works! I believe its lack of power after all im gonna give this card to my friend, he'll test it on his 600W machine. I doubt it's doa because on all drivers it gives me the same thing. Display recovered and whatnot. If it was DoA id be screwed. I never got a bsod with it. And ive ordered by ebay from a pretty good seller so i bet he tests out the cards before shipping. And if it is the reason my father will get me a new PSU. Simply because I bought aviaton parts using my PP money. Its a 700w Thermaltake around $200 here.. Also +Rep for both for trying to help. Im greatful.
