I decided to pick up Cod:4 MW last night for some good old fun and I can't get into a game that isn't spamming "infected by (gamertag) download hacks at www._____.com". This is just pathetic that they take it upon themselves to destroy my game.

Since when did the Xbox 360 console get hacked so bad? I never saw anything like this a couple years ago.

I'm probably going to try and get a refund as this is pathetic and unplayable. Incase they only offer store credit, is World at War like this too? Seems like kids these days cant move onto better things than wrecking classic games.

The assistant manager told me that I'm not the only person to ask for refund on this game and W@W but he couldn't approve the return. Had to wait over 30 minutes for the electronics lead manager to approve the return and he never came back from break. What a waste of time that was.

Eventually one of the managers said enough is enough and gave me a refund after I stood there complaining over 30 minutes. All I can say is, never again will I buy a multiplayer game for a console (especially the older CoDs). Nothing but a bunch of ignorant kids who have to hack the game.

go get yourself BF3 for the PC instead.

Playing any FPS there will always be hackers. Though on PC it seems a little worse.

I already play BF3 on PC. I bought it because CoD4 was a fun game before it got ruined by hackers, so was WaW but I hear the same thing happened to that game as well. I don't really see hackers as an issue on PC when I can just ban them from our server but on Xbox theres nothing you can do.

This is not the fault of the console or Microsoft/Sony. Games such as COD4 and WAW (And now MW2) are not maintained AT ALL by their developer/publisher. Activision is a crappy company, this is one of the many reasons they suck. It would take such a small amount of effort on their part, yet they will do nothing as there is no more money to be made on these games; even if fans wish to play them, they do not care. They just care about being paid.

I wish they would throw together a patch for COD4, but I've lost all hope. They are a worthless company and will not be receiving another dollar from me.
