Going from Dual 1080 to 1440 and 900?

Just had a question, I have been using two 1080 23.6 inch tn screens and am in the process of selling them to a co-worker.
The sale will be the last bit of money I need to pick up a Shimian Lite, which will be accompanied by an older 19 inch 1600x900 tn next to it. Hopefully down the road I would be able to pick up another Shimian to match the first, but not for a while.

Two questions.

Will I miss the dual 1080?

What would be the best stand (since apparently all the Korean stands are a bit shoddy) that would sit on the desk and eventually allow for two 27inchs in both landscape and portrait mode?

1440p is so great that people switching from 1080p surround do not even miss it.

You will fall in love with the 1440p Shimian Monitor hopefully IF you get a good monitor.

You are doing the smart thing.

Matter of fact 27" and 1440p resolution is so great that you can open 2 IE, Chrome or Firefox tabs side by side nicely.

I switched from 3x24" 1080p in Eyefinity to one 27" CrossOver - and i dont miss it at all. IPS looks so much better, and the 1 giant screen is awesome.

I stil had one extra 24" left over - and i barely used it, i finally sold it last Saturday.

And these were nice TN monitors - 2ms ASUS that had great buyer reviews.

Ill be receiving my 2nd 27" 1440p early next month, i'm still debating whether or not i should have 2...just because i wont have a monitor dead center anymore..
