OCZ 256gb Vertex 4 firmware update 1.4 to 1.5??????

Thread Starter
I Currently have a OCZ 256gb Vertex 4 and its running the 1.4 firmware and when you upgrade it deletes whats on the drive which in my case is my OS.....so if i do those then do I have to clone my OS to one of HDD and copy os and save it and then boot from HDD and update ssd and reclone the os back to it? Or is there an easier way?

Also would i be better to just return this ssd and get two 120ssd and run raid 0?

Also here is my current benchmark thoughts?

Just create a system image with some sort of backup software, update the drive, restore the OS with the bootable rescue CD/USB for the software.

I like acronis myself. Here are some options: www.overclock.net/t/1227835/how-to-disk-and-partition-cloning-backup-restoration-migration

well, you dont have the newest firmware and your speeds are probably held back slightly in your current bench due to power saving features. Update and retest while running a single thread in prime 95.
