How high of an overclock are you shooting for?

What's the point dropping the rosewill for a seasonic?

Are you one of those people who just recommends SS or Corsair straightaway?

2500k is cooler and can oc higher

No need for an MPower if he can have the UD5 for less. Same features (almost)

Speaking from experience actually. Owned 1 rosewill that burned out on me. Have had 3 seasonics without any issues whatsoever

As stated more than once before, there is no reason to spend $80-115 on a cooler if you're only trying to achieve 4.5GHz. With a CM Hyper 212 and some good TIM, like Prolimatech PK-1 you should have no problem reaching 4.5GHz.

Which line?

The capstones are solid units. You might have had the lower end ones

I don't understand why anyone would recommend a 2500k over a 3570k, unless you can buy one cheap used. Retail, they are basically the same price and IB will perform better clock for clock.

3570K has better IPC. 4.8Ghz 3570K equals to a 5.1Ghz 2500K

There is no point in buying a 2500K for 10 dollars less then a 3570K

Plus Ivy has Pcie 3.0, up to ddr3 3000, lower power consumption

Yes, the 3570k is better clock for clock, but the 2500k is more fun to overclock as it can go higher than IB with lower temperature. With the higher clock speed, they're essentially the same.

Bragging rights is cool cool.gif
