Intel Pentium T4400 OC

Thread Starter
Hello all, I'm new to this forum and website, just thought I would share a little something I managed to do after a day or so of not being able to do anything useful.

I have an Asus K50in (Old, yes I know) It came with 4gig ram and a Intel Pentium T4400 Dual core rated at 2.2 GHz.
Many people say its not worth attempting an OC on a laptop because of cooling issues, I would agree but when you have nothing else, why not give it a go rolleyes.gif

Using Nvidia system tools 6.08 And after a few hours looking at other tools before realizing I didn't click accept on the license agreement after installing tongue.gif I finally came up with what I was wanting all along. After managing to bump up the bus speed from 200 to 230MHz with no problems I attempted to get a little more out of it. At 240MHz my computer crashed so I turned it back to 230MHz. I then proceeded to sit there smiling at myself thinking "I've finally done it" I was looking at my new core speed of 2.53GHz which is a nice improvement for the laptop.

I am yet to try OC the graphics card in it, but I'm still deciding if its really worth it. My temperatures seem to stay in a nice range when im not doing much, but im still yet to see how they go when playing games.

Bit of photo proof tongue.gif

Ill update if I manage a nice improvement on the GPU (It is only a Nvidia G102M)

Cheers for reading and any feedback is welcome smile.gif

First of all, welcome to Overclock.net! thumb.gif

Your probably find it much easier to overclock the video card.

Most laptops you can't change the CPU voltage or multiplier, but IF you can change either of those you might be able to get it to go a little higher.

Make sure to stress test it when your done to check to stability, and make sure it doesn't overheat.

Good luck!
