I'm wondering this too. If the settings stick to the mouse after using the software once then I won't mind it.

I think that Skylit has said that different surfaces can affect how far the cursor will travel at a certain DPI. (and the lens used on the sensor etc.)

Surface calibration is probably adjusting it so the DPI scale is accurate again so that if you move it one inch, it moves the amount of pixels you set.

well im turning the calibration off because its skipping ALOT, well i guess it depends on each surface u use. For me the skipping happends on artisan hien.

Like sometimes it skip to 40 degrees
But occasionally but not always, it does crazy skips where it does 360 degrees nonstop for 3 seconds

Im playing just fine without the calibration.. no accuracy problem.

i never had this skipping issue before when i use 3.5 G

I've had similar issues with taipan and ouroboros using the surface calibration. Skipping with it on. Fine off. This was on all my mousepads. There is something strange going on with how they do this calibration thingo.

What's the point? They already have your email and mouse serial number, at the very least, when you register. Your email address can be worth money for them. Just because a company says they will keep it a secret doesn't mean they will. I have been apart of a lawsuit against a large company that sold my information when they stated they would not do such a thing.

How did you find out that your information was sold?

Also, I never thought about this before, but can you sell the mouse later on if you don't want it? Would synapse not allow the new buyer to use it's features if it was linked to you via serial number?

How can they do anything with your email alone?
All they can do is sell it to spam (ofc bad if a serious company does that).
I never ever use my main email for junk like games etc, always use my second mail.

As everyone always should biggrin.gif

And why would I enter real life information into a form, thats kinda stupid.
