Anyone know what the 3.5G's default DPI and refresh rate is? Without drivers.

I wonder how Synapse 2.0 will be with this, hopefully it won't be as terrible as it is with the current DAs.

That's what the "leak" was? It's clearly retail packaging, no big deal or reason to pull it.

I'm hoping for a Diamondback design, but improved (Taipan quality), with a next gen optical/infrared sensor. That's about it.
It sucks that companies try to offer laser sensors when they already have the best optical sensor available in other mice. DeathAdder is not the best shape for me, but it's the only Razer mouse worth buying due to the sensors they use in everything else.

It's been pretty niche so far since only the naga hex and taipan, etc. were forced to use it. But now that there's a new deathadder without any legacy drivers to use it's going to be a firestorm.
They require Synapse on newer mice!? Instant fail. I won't buy one. Drivers shouldn't require an internet connection or login to use. Razer products may as well be spyware now if synapse is no longer optional.

Not only that, they've pulled all the old legacy drivers off the site for most products so anyone looking for new drivers will have to use synapse, unless they can find an old download link somewhere else. But the new products require synapse and there are obviously no legacy drivers for them, so you're stuck.

Spyware is a pretty good way to describe synapse. Especially if you read the license agreement. Which I encourage you to do: http://www.razerzone.com/synapse2/subscriber-agreement

What's odd is, their ever-famous tag line is "made for gamers, by gamers". I can't think of one serious 'gamer' that thinks that storing their profiles and settings on a company owned internet server and not their own machine/mouse is a good idea.

What serious gamer uses drivers?

None but... oh nvm can't change dpi without them. The whole internet connection thing with synapse is the least of our worries. Anyone else noticed how using non native dpi's on the DA feels different and weird when using synapse?

Hey we're going to make a mouse that's capable of saving settings using onboard memory but instead of letting you save settings onto your $80 mouse, we're going to make you use our awful cloud based drivers so you can't save your settings onto your mouse so that you have to use our wonderful Synapse 2.0 software that you will definitely like, we're so sure about it that we're going to get rid of all of legacy drivers because who wants to be able to save settings onto their mouse and use all of the features that our mouse was advertised with?
