I look forward to hearing what the default profile is and the dpi steps. If i t can do 500hz and 800-900 dpi natively I would switch. I wouldn't install synapse if someone paid me to though lol.

I just got my Ouroboros like a week ago. Even though I love the mouse, I'm tempted to return it for the newer Deathadder. It looks damn sexy in those pics. thumb.gif

With all the changes in that "4G" shell you would think they would change the shape for the better. It looks exactly the same outside. The only thing they did to solve the grip issues is to add rubber to the sides. What a way to cheap out (not trying to be mean). They should get a palm grip player/s to help make a better mold.

They changed the way the scroll wheel is captured within the shell using the bottom piece instead of the top. That could result in some movement in the scroll wheel but the top piece looks to deal with that. They also moved the pivot point of the main buttons. The side buttons' means of actuation appears to have been changed, that could change the feel of the switches.

The internals look better than the original. I like the new scroll wheel over the current one. I hate clear rubber. Going from a 2 level PCB to a 1, removing the assembly clip and changing (appears to have) the lever for the side buttons should shave some weight off. Although they added some with the LED board and CPI board. I like that they moved the main switches up toward the front to decrease the pre travel. Others will complain about that because it will increase the perceived switch force for actuation. The lens looks a little different and they obviously went with a different way to channel the light to the lens. I think that combination will change the lift off distance. The cable looks much more thicker than the current one yet it is still braided. That is a shame.

Considering the effort Razer put into the new version of their mouse; I now have more faith in Zowie or BST to put out a high performing mouse that is comfortable. One that is made for the true competitive gamer who cares less about LEDs, quick toggling CPI, high CPI and braided cables.

If BST had money to make his own mold I'd bet he would release the best option into the market. It would be easier for Zowie to make changes to their mice to make them the best on the market. Right now I feel that Zowies' mice are one version away from #1

Mouse shape really depends on the person. I've said it many times on here now, but the DeathAdder is the only mouse I have found that I can use all day without getting hand cramps or wrist pain (good shape) or pain in my index finger from repeated clicking. (light action, which can be actuated by any part of the finger from my middle knuckle down)

Grip has never been an issue with it for me, but putting rubber on the sides, rather than a rubberized finish seems like a good solution for people where that was an issue. I guess people that lift their mouse a lot? I use 9" for a 360 (1800 DPI, 1 sens in-game) and never have to.

This could go either way. Change is not necessarily bad.

I agree, clear rubber is horrible. I prefer a solid wheel like the Black Edition though, rather than the new style. Who cares about LEDs? It's the first thing I turn off with a mouse.

Highly doubt the lens was changed or modified. I have my reasons~

Subjectivity, though I'll spare the psychology smile.gif

The only gripe I have with the Deathadder's shape is this area:

Bothers my ringfinger if I hold the mouse like this (not my pic):

Were it just straight and not curved it would be much more ergonomic for me. Other than that part it fits like a glove.

Not an issue for me - my wrist touches my mouse mat when using my DA.

Yup, same here, but my small finger instead. They should also make the left side more subtle of a curve and lower the hump on the top. They could add a rest for your finger in front of the scroll wheel to.

This is how I hold it.
