Short on time and on a Mac right now

, so I can't verify this, but my guess is an easy fix. IE8 does not like display:inline-block which is what you are using on your li tags in your menu. Since you have modernizr running right now, should be a really easy css rule to fix it.

Add the following rule AFTER your current definition for #menu li. This will target ie8 only and should fix the issue.

Whatt CSS script do i throw this into? Im not terribly sure of the logic of whoever made the template. My CSS filesystem goes:

The current #menu li is in style-desktop.css, line 23.

Are you using Firebug add-on for Firefox or Chrome Developer Tools in Chrome? If not you should be! You can just hover hover an item on your page, and it will pull up all the associated css rules for that element and show you which file and line-number. Invaluable and that is just touching the surface of what those tools can do.
