Hi there,

I am looking for some red LED lighting (strips) to go on the back of my monitors to give an ambient glow to my desk and the surrounding area.

However, the issue that I am facing so far is that I would like the strips to be mains powered (UK), and if possible, all connected to one inverter rather than one socket per unit.

Anyone have any suggestions?

What about an IKEA Dioder kit. Even though it is kind of pricey it seems to be quite a fancy piece of kit and have seen quite a few guys on here with brilliant things to say about them and if you ever change your mind on colour scheme you don't have to worry about buying an entire new set of led strips.

That's exactly what I am looking for. I wanted 3 or 4 strips that could all connect into a singular box, then into the mains socket.

I can vouch for this. I have these behind my monitor and because they plug into an outlet, I can leave them turned on if I want after shutting down my PC. These really look great and I have yet to find anything on the market that's comparable.

Aye the dioder kit is awesome, I use a set of the color changing ones behind my 55 inch panasonic, great output, my friend bought a set and put behind his iMac 27 inch
