Thread Starter
  • What happened?
A Upon logging into OCN, the pop up appears alerting me to the fact that i have three new private messages. I clicked OK expecting to be taken to my messages. Instead, it redirects me to the URL "http://messages//" which IE9 says "cannot display the webpage"
B When trying to send a message from IE9, the website says: "There was a problem submitting this to the server. Please try again."
  • Are you able to reproduce this problem consistently?
A Yes, every time i have messages in IE9 this happens.
B Yes, I haven't been able to send a message in IE9 for some time now.
  • What steps did you take to reproduce this problem?
A I've logged into OCN three or four times in the past week, and every time in IE9 that I click "OK" on the PM notification box, it happens
B Every time I try to send a message
  • What action did you expect to occur when this bug appeared?
A I expected to be taken to my messages
B Expected the message to send
  • Any additional information that will help us diagnose the issue:
A and B Running IE9 with a clean install of Windows 7 Home premium. My internet bandwidth is 22mbps down and 4mbps up. Happens on two different machines with totally different specs. When I need to send a message, I copy the URL and jump onto WaterFox to send it and it works fine, but I'd like to be able to use IE....

  • Browser, active browser addons, and operating system:
IE9: Add ons include: Lastpass toolbar, SendToOneNote, and Microsoft Office Document Cache handler
  • URL where the issue occurs:
www.overclock.net (as soon as I log in, the message warning pop up appears
    and http://messages//

Do you by any chance have "compatibility mode" enabled by accident? That's the only way I've been able to reproduce the problem with sending PMs, etc. That mode causes IE9 to behave like IE7, and IE7 is no longer supported. Can you double check and let me know?
