Is "Hurricane" the textured teflon feet?

I got kinda confused... if its scratchy... doesn't it mean more friction? or does the scratchy-ness allow for less surface area therefore less friction.

The scratchiness is there because the raised parts of the feet rub onto the weave. It just because there are more 'edges' to feel the weave. And friction is different from texture - friction is really a measure of slowness when the two surfaces interact, texture or scratchiness is more to do with feel. And yeh the scratchiness allows for less surface area and therefore less traction on cloth.

Ahh.. in that case... i want mouse feet that would have smooth feel with almost zero friction. Any recommendations for the sensei?

The cream of the crop are hyperglides. Rounded edges and pure teflon.

EDIT: Just noticed hyperglide don't actually make skates for sensei/xai/etc. Next best bet may be corepads.

I´ve felt that too, sometimes the braided cables can result in roughness but sometimes is the glides too...

I haven´t tried this but there´s a "Mouse Tape" being sold on ebay, which is mainly to cover your glides completely to add a layer of teflon (or whatever the material is).

In my obsessive compulsiveness... i know that the roughness or that feeling of the mouse scraping the surface is NOT from the braided cable rubbing on the surface or something else

I have always "hanged" my braided cable with a stretchy rubber string so that in my day to day use it NEVER touches anything. Sort of like a ghetto-bungee for my mouse. That is why I know the roughness doesn't come from the braided cable friction with something else.

Yes... I kinda noticed that last night as I was searching the net for the so called hyperglides. Even from their site they only support 1 mouse from steelseries which for me kinda sucks. If they have really have a good product they should be trying to go along with the times and have mousefeet for more recent mice.

I tried to purchase corepads from their site but they require me to have paypal... (which i don't have and I don't trust paypal with my credit card information yet). I already purchased puretrak HD yesterday which was a 'friendlier' type of purchase as they had to option to directly pay from my credit card.

I'll see the puretrak probably in less than a week and then i'll know if it sucks in my opinion or not.

If I may ask you, is the puretrak feet the same thickness as the stock? I really like the "feel" of the 3M replacement ones for the SS Kana... its like it has their own cushion.

Puretrak Perfectglide are thin. I dont like them at all.

Puretrak HD feets, now that's a different story.
I prefer them over hyperglides. They are really fat. Edges are not rounded, but yeah, shipping takes about a week instead of a month where I live. thumb.gif
