Torchlight 2 came out. It's too little too late for Blizzard to get my money (now Grim Dawn is another story, I have high hopes for a good game there).

I used to be a Diablo 3 player then a error took out my pc.

i remember the last time i logged on, it was around 1000 concurrent players. so much for being the sequel to diablo 2

While no one is going to argue that Diablo 3 hasn't lost a large portion of its playerbase, that number is not how many players are online but how many pug groups have open spots. The number of players still playing is quite a bit large then that but a fraction of the amount of people that bought the game. I'll personally load 1 .05 when it comes out, starting to get bored of bl2.

If Torchlight II was less cartoony, I'd like it more. Looks have a LOT to do with the playability of a game. tongue.gif

I agree TL2 is a great game that is held back by it's very bland textures and graphics. It kills replayability for me.

I love D3's art style, even though many people claim it looks bad, I think the graphics were done nicely in the game. I see myself playing D3 again, but I don't see myself playing TL2 again.

I love Diablo III and am really happy with pretty much all of the changes they make to it. It's come so far since launch! Everyone that complains about the game has ADD and is a little *****, really. It's a video game. You seriously get this uptight and upset at a video game? That's a really sad reflection on your values. What people seem to forget is that this game is meant to last years. I'm glad legendaries and set items don't drop often. The whole point of Diablo is to grind, just as it was in Diablo II. You played and played and played until you got that amazing new item. Then, with that new item, it was easier than it was before! So now you're able to go through your mobs and bosses faster while searching for your next great piece of gear. Monster Power sounds like a great idea as it allows everyone to customize to their own player abilities. I really hope that the expansion pack (and hopefully the 2-4 that follow the first) are as big a game changer as Lord of Destruction was.

The only thing that I can think is a serious problem is the layout of the dungeons. The game feels very small and "funnelled-in" as you basically just go from Campion pack to Champion pack then boss. Cycle repeat. The randomization is not good enough at current levels.

I wish the land was more open and that there were more side dungeons and things to do other than boss runs.

You people ***** too much about inconsequential things. The reason why the game industry lacks on originality is because gamers do nothing but complain. I mean, look at Bioware! They took SO MUCH FLACK that the guys at the creative top feel like they've failed at their professions and have gone to do other things completely unrelated to the games industry. That says something about your ungrateful, gluttonous asses. These guys work SO HARD for your ENTERTAINMENT and yet you ***** and moan as if you are the only ones who know how to make the games. If you want to be less disappointed in life, go play a sport. Those rules never change so if the game sucks, it's because you suck. Stop acting like $60 entitles you to the greatest life experiences available. Video games are a hobby and a form of entertainment. If you're not entertained, shut the **** up and move on. I imagine most of you will say that I'm the uptight one but hopefully my rant makes you reflect on yourself and you can see how childish it is to get so worked up about such small things.

Cool story bro.

Got TL2 on release day. I'll get D3 when they finally decide to make an offline mode. I live down south, and I gotta connect to Blizzard's EU servers. So playing with some lag isn't going to work for me...
