That says something about your ungrateful, gluttonous asses. These guys work SO HARD for your ENTERTAINMENT and yet you ***** and moan as if you are the only ones who know how to make the games. If you want to be less disappointed in life, go play a sport. Those rules never change so if the game sucks, it's because you suck. Stop acting like $60 entitles you to the greatest life experiences available. Video games are a hobby and a form of entertainment. If you're not entertained, shut the **** up and move on. I imagine most of you will say that I'm the uptight one but hopefully my rant makes you reflect on yourself and you can see how childish it is to get so worked up about such small things.
/rant.

Actually they're working for a paycheck, and they failed the fans and the company miserably and should feel bad about it.

And as for your sports idea, that makes no sense whatsoever.

Only reason I'm playing D3 is I got it for $10, other than that TL2 is better

I was already playing WoW and thought "wht the heck, sign for annual pass" then I got bored in 2 weeks. Imagine I was playing for free and got bored of the game. It's that shallow. If Chris Metzen was involved heavily in d3 story (and storytelling) he should quit making games. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't feel like he was actively involved in D3 storytelling, but if even on a slim chance that he actually wrote the sequences, he should retire.

Why shouldn't people be pasionate about hobbies and entertainment? Why should they come to a DISCUSSION FORUM and not talk about what they liked and/or didn't like?

I don't think anyone is looking for the greatest life experience, but people get mad when you charge $60 and you're just selling the video game equivalent of a cold McDonalds hamburger in a nice new box. And they didn't even remember the pickles. And the bun is coming in a later patch. Only $40 for the cold french fries expansion! Meanwhile, BK is across the street selling warm, complete burgers for $20 with no strings attached and Wendy’s is offering a pretty unique burger for free. (TL2 and PoE incase I'm not making any sense)

Throw in that fact that the game only exists as an experiment to test how little effort you could put into items and have people still grind for them (flavor? skill modifier? skills from other classes? gameplay changing at all? Inspires unique builds? Nope, just STATS), and how well the RMAH would serve as a replacement for monthly fees in their next cash-cow.

You said I would say it, but I'll say it anyway: your post is the most upset in the thread by far. Everyone else is mildly upset with a game they didn't really like, and you are advising them to shut up and take it, calling them entitled, uptight, ADD children, who should stop playing video games? No thank you.

I like D3 fine, have over 150 hours in it. It wasn't as good as Diablo II, but if you don't compare them, it's decent.

Just because you don't like a game doesn't mean it's terrible. I don't like lots of popular games that other people like.

My main problem is not the game being indecent. It looks decent yet it's empty. Because you can count me as a veteran player. A supposedly big gaming company, with prior 2 (3 if you count LOD as big) games in the franchise, can not serve a game as cold as D3 to the fans. The game is like a comedy show with big sketches. Big events happen without anything tying them together. For example, after a point, everyone starts calling you Nephalem. Why ? I know why but it's not explained enough. There's no decision point in the story that you are a nephalem. After Leah's incident, noone mentions her properly. A broken story kills it for me. I'm not after a masterpiece, just a coherent and consistent story. Here's another point, Everything happens in Diablo3 put together can happen in only act1 of another game. It's that shallow.

I would disagree that this isn't entirely true at this point. There are "now" items that fit half of those descriptions. There are items that have flavor, items that affects skills(was at launch, just not by a lot), there are a few items that I would build a class around. RMAH being just an expirement while maybe true is mostly a conspiracy theory.

I agree... the story really felt lacking and so much was literally thrown togeether that you just roll with it without sufficient explanation. The 'story' progresses so quickly that the devs/writers must have hoped you wouldn't question things since you just blow through it all. Maybe the writers had it all planned out, but the rest of the devs and/or producers cut it out to streamline the gameplay and not worry about narrative. Heck, the books you find have more narrative than the actual content of the game. I am really let down, but satisfied enough that I don't feel gipped by the cost of purchase. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I do wonder what's next... I'm thinking war with the Angels since they're apparently genocidal against humans/nephalem and our main ally within them is now no longer an Angel. He was also the only barring force against their eradication of us if I remember correctly.

The story was terrible all around, but I don't play this kind of game for the story anyways.
