How do I overclock a DDR2?

Thread Starter
My DDR2 runs at 667MHz. My motherboard is that of a dell D830 laptop, using the latest A15 bios.

Is there any way to overclock the RAM?
Can this be done without using BIOS settings/ voltage tweaks?

How will this affect my gaming performance, considering my graphics card has 650MHz clock and 500MHz memory?

No point, especially on a laptop.

Overclock your GPU, that will make a difference - if you have an AMD / ATI or Nvidia dedicated GPU then use MSI Afterburner to o/c it thumb.gif

If its intel, then there are a couple of programs out there to o/c it depending on the specific chip

Only way to overclock RAM on a laptop is to mess with SPD settings (flashing higher JEDEC profiles or lower timings) ... or by overclocking everything together by raising FSB via software like SetFSB (provided that it supports the clock generator of your laptop).

But I agree, there is no much point in overclocking anything on a laptop.
