Need some help with my avatar....

I would like to insert the OCN flame into my avatar in place of the atom. I don't have any kind of software or the technical know-how to do it. If somebody could do this for me I would be most grateful. I've tried with the rudimentary tools in Windows (snipping tool) and Serif Trial Edition, but can't get the results I'm looking for. I think it's a relatively simple thing to do, especially for somebody familiar with doing this kind of stuff and who has the software at their disposal. Here is my avatar and flame:
