You know if you get a Samsung 3D 120Hz Monitor and use display port you get 60fps per eye aswell... Tri Def is a little behind 3D Vision but it uses the exact same 3D methods and works fine for all current games and a lot of modern games have built in 3D support anyway... Also the sammy can convert 2D > 3D which is actually decent . I know it says Nvidia enthusiast but maybe you should change it to Fanboy tongue.gif.

Ok 30 posts guy.. i would call it Honest boy .

Your 3D is miles behind

Why in the world would you buy a 120hz monitor with a Nvidia 3D emitter just to use hacked 3D?

Nvidia 3D vision is far far better supported Constant driver up dates...

And with Our 120hz built in emitters we get 60hz per eye i use DL DVI not DP..

You cannot compare your hacked 3D to Nvidias fully supported 3D..

So please do not try to compare AMD 3D to Nvidias it is not in the same class and no where near as well supported.
And yeah im a Nvidia Fan boy who owns Amd gpus?

If my refresh rate is 120hz and i'm using display port which can display the bandwidth plus my screen does happen to have a built in emitter... im seeing 60fps with 3D on and 120fps with it off on BF3......

Okay so your not a fanboy but you still have no idea what your talking about. MY 3D ISN'T HACKED are you stupid? Tri Def renders the image twice (stereoscopic) Seriously it's the exact same quality as 3D Vision, it has a depth slider, it has 60 fps per eye and it's constantly updated... I admit 3D Vision does have slightly better support but it's not miles ahead.

Why would u buy a monitor with a built in Nvidia emitter just to use Amd gpus and have a complete inferior 3D experience?

Dont waste your time with Nivida Vision 2.
I spent $1000s setting mine up and the GFs 3D passive AMD set up looks exactly the same at 120hz. The only difference being that the passive glasses give a bit of a darker picture then the nividias active glasses. But at $800 cheaper its a fair enough compromise.

Also it might just be me but with the tri-def and ignition software every game can be 3D on the AMD set up where Iv only got a small list of 3D games that work for my Nividia vision 2 with out having major problems.

VRAM. I needed 3gb of VRAM and i'm not paying 700 dollars to get a 4GB Nvidia Card... Also I need compute power for 3D modelling which the 600 series completely fails at. its not a nvidia emitter either...

No, it doesn't. In my experience 3d vision didn't require any more vram than normal 2d gaming. I can't imagine tri-def being that much different. You just need the high framerates so a lot of games which at 1080p a 7870 should be able to pull off most of the time.

It works over DVI too from what I've heard.

His display doen't use a Nvidia 3d emitter. It has its own built in emitter just like a tv but it will do 60hz per eye. You might want to do some more research on the topic.

Until you've tried tri-def you really shouldn't open your mouth. You're just coming off as a fanboy. I'm sure that Nvidia's 3d vision is a bit better but I don't know how much better since I've never used tri-def.
