im looking to get a new monitor not that there is anything wrong with my samsung p2770, but i want to either go 120hz for a better gaming experience, or high res for more screen space. id like to stay in the 300 dollar price range, and im having issues picking and choosing.
first off the s23a700d vs s23a750d, i have a hook up so i could probably get the 700d new at a discount price, but it seems that the 750d can be purchased for 260 dollars used which makes me ask why would i want to differentiate between the two? on paper they seem identical apart from no dvi on the 750d, is there anything else different that might help me pick one over the other like latency's, 3d compatibility with amd? personally i dont like the 750d because of the stand and no dvi, but if i can save 100 dollars i think it would be worth it, how ever i think the 700d is absolutely beautiful in design and what i read it works with amd 3d.
as for the k-ips panel, i know that everyone is talking about them but as a gamer is it more worth it to get 120hz? or stick with 60 and just bump up the res and get some more desk space, and maybe make it easier when i edit photos. I fell like i would love to have that extra space, but im taking a gamble with dead pixles, no returns, no discount, and no 120hz, but lots of space.
btw got dual 7950s so i don't think resolution or 120hz is an issue with anything.
